The charter is written into the token and never changes. The pool opens, its position goes to the dead address, and your own buy is bound in the token for the term you choose, all in one transaction.
The pledge
The buy is made at the opening price in the launch transaction. The tokens it returns land in your wallet bound: they cannot be sold, moved or approved away until the term is over, and the token itself is what refuses.
